Staples, MN By RCA-Racing | Mon Aug 27, 2007 at 02:24:18 PM EST DETERMINATION!

Where to I start.....?

The day before Ryan's big race in Staples, MN, he was riding/racing his quad so hard and fast that he actually broke his front clutch on his quad.  WAY TO GO RYAN.  Unfortunately, Jeremy wasn't with us this weekend, so we had to get to the race early to have a good friend of ours help get it fixed.  Frenchie worked his magic and it was ready to race!  Thanks Frenchie.

First race of the day, Ryan and Josh French (Frenchies son) were neck and neck into the the first corner.  Josh pulled away from Ryan and away they went.  Ryan battled the first and second lap going from 6th place, to 5th, back to 6th and then on the last lap he was passed and came in 7th.  The rider that past Ryan is one that is fighting for Ryan's points.  Great Race.

Final race of the day and Ryan was ready.  He was bound and determined not to let the riders that want his place by him.  He was doing great.  The same rider that past Ryan in the first race was right in front of him.  He took his time and finally passed him.  WHOOPIE Ryan.  Ryan was pulling from him, going into the last lap and his chain fell off!  After all the riders went by, he was able to get some help and got back out there.  Now he was in last place.  Ryan's racing determination kicked into high and he was on a mission.  On the last 1/4 of the track before the checkered flag, Ryan waited for the right time and got it.  He passed the rider in front of him and gave it his all finishing 10th the second race.

Overall, Ryan placed 9th out of 11 for the day.  Somewhat disappointing, but so amazing to see that he never gave up.  Despite the bad luck, he was determined to come back and give it his all and that is exactly what he did.

We are so proud of him!
