After many hours and a lot of frustration, the quad was still not right, but was good enough that we felt Ryan had a great chance to bring home that 1st place trophy that we've all wanted for him so badly.
We headed out the race and when we got there, we found out that he would be up against a 90cc quad driven by a 12 year old boy. Our hearts just dropped. Could Ryan and his quad pull off the win that Ryan wanted so badly.
Ryan went out at practice and tore up the track. The first race started and Ryan got the whole shot, and stayed ahead of the kid the entire race. Ryan was all smiles, as was Mom and Dad when he pulled off the track. He said it was GREAT. Final race, Ryan said he was going to take that 1st place trophy home with him and he did just that. He held the kid off and brought home his FIRST, FIRST PLACE TROPHY!!!!
Jeremy and I have never been so proud of that little guy! He was so proud of himself!
What a moment and feeling that I will never forget and I know Ryan never will either. He has worked so hard and accomplished a long, hard, goal that he set for himself.
WAY TO GO RYAN!
A BIG Thank You to Frenchie and his family for all the help and support. Scott, Jenny and Olivia, Grandpa and Grandma Anderson, Alisa, Tim, Tyler, Ashley and Kaylie for coming and supporting Ryan at the County Fair Race.
