The first race was off to an amazing start as Ryan took the hole shot and first corner out of 10 other quad riders. Then just out of the first corner, another rider hooked tires with Ryan, dropping him back to last place. He worked and passed a rider and pulled off a 10th place. He was really disappointed and we told him he could come back strong this next race and do better.
The second race, he was third into the hole and first corner and held onto 6th place until his last lap. Mom didnt see this, THANK GOODNESS, but Dad did. Ryan was coming out of a corner and down a hill when his front left tire fell off. As this happened, the front of the quad dug into the mud, turning the quad sideways and throwing Ryan off it. He landed in the mud ("took a digger" as Dad calls it). Jeremy got to him and he was fine. He was just a little shooken up.
Overall, because one other rider DNF (did not finish), along with Ryan and one DNS (did not start), Ryan took home a 10th place win yesterday.
Ryan was sad, but we told him that #1, he was safe and #2, he was safe!
We'll be back next weekend in Mora, which is Ryan's very fist track to ever race on and he's going to come back strong.
