Let the racing begin..
125 Junior
Moto One
Colin Scheuermann, #122 grabbed the holeshot on the inside with Jake Burbach, #47 taking the outside and # 816, Brandon Clifford riding in third. Clifford tipped it in the holeshot turn and two riders slipped past him. Burbach was hot on the tail of Scheuermann. Clifford had the bike back up and running and back on the track in a flash. Scheuermann held Burbach off through the third lap but Burbach made the pass on the rhythm section after the holeshot turn and took the lead. Cole Ludowese, # 285 took third for this moto.
Moto Two
Clifford took the holeshot in this moto with Scheuermann in second, Burbach in third and Ludowese in fourth. Once again Burbach made the pass on Scheuermann and set his sights on Clifford. These two were fun to watch because Burbach really turned up the heat on Clifford showing him the wheel but Clifford was tenacious and didn't give him an inch. Arkansaw is not an easy track to find lines to pass on, but Burbach took every line he could find and tried to get past Clifford but couldn't make it stick. Great racing guys.
85cc 12-15
Moto One
Brandon Clifford, #816 took the holeshot, with John Maillette, #316 in second and Cody Fredrick, #305 in third. Clifford had some bad luck and tipped it just before the whoops. Maillette was riding his tail so when Clifford went down so did he. Meanwhile, Fredrick had a different line and took the lead. Clifford was back up and running but was now in last place and Maillette was out for this moto with a broken throttle cable and a broken front fender. Though Clifford rode like a bat out of hell to make up for lost time, which included a pass over the step-up, he took a fourth place finish. Fredrick took the win, Cody Steuck, #24 second and Nathan Kinnehan, #346 in third.
Moto Two
Fredrick was hot out of the gate in moto two and grabbed the holeshot. Maillette and Clifford were side by side but Clifford pulled into second with Maillette in third. Clifford and Fredrick hit the back tabletop before the whoops together and then Clifford made the pass in the whoops. Clifford took the win, Fredrick second and Maillette third.
MX Lites C Class
Moto One
This was the biggest class of the day with 21 riders. Myles Marshall, #232 took the holeshot with Brennen Marshall, # 59 riding in second and Steven Hering, #301 in third. Myles Marshall held the lead until the third lap but something must have happened in the back because before I knew it Hering was now in first with Brennen Marshall in second and Myles Marshall slipping back to third. Meanwhile, Jake Burbach, #47 put the heat on Shawn Haus, #30 making the pass to take fourth in this first moto.
Moto Two
Steven Hering, #301 was the holeshot winner in this second moto. Tanner Anderson, #X moved into second, Jake Burbach in third and Brandon Clifford in fourth. Burbach passed Anderson moving into second. Hering took the win, Burbach second, Anderson third and Clifford fourth.
Supermini
Moto One
John Maillette, #316 grabbed the holeshot with Jake Burbach, # 47 in second, Cole Ludowese, # 285 in third and Cody Fredrick, #305 in fourth. Burbach made the pass on Maillette in the back woods and took the lead and win.
Moto Two
Burbach grabbed the lead and kept it in this moto with Ludowese, Maillette and Fredrick behind him. Burbach took the win, Ludowese second, Maillette third and Fredrick fourth.
